Our film was about a girl who has psychotic nightmare. In her first nightmare she kills an old bully of hers. She then wakes up the next morning and goes through the motions in her dream subconsciously. She does this several times, with bullies, old friends and boy that had previously turned her down. She eventually has several dreams where she kills her family. She attempts to break through her subconscious and not kill her family. Finally she does break though and manages to save her family's life and end the nightmares once and for all.

In my Media AS Level classes we got to create the first two minutes of our own fiction film. We chose the above story line and filmed it ourselves. I took on the roles of Camerawoman, Makeup Artist and Director, however we all shared these roles. We casted and scripted this as a group, and edited it using Final Cut Express, on the macs at college.

Smoke.

I asked a friend to blow smoke out as I took the picture to achieve a smoke line across the picture.

I lit it with my phone so that the smoke would be seen and her face would also still be bright.

I then turned the brightness down and the contrast up to make the reds more vibrant and the smoke clearer.

Perception.

While on a day out in a nearby city I took this of one of my friends the reflection in the ball portrays him as being further away than he actually is.

I used daylight for this photo, and the subject was acting naturally.

I then turned the brightness and contrast up for a better view of the colours in the shot.

The grin

I wanted to show that one person can have many faces, so I took these and edited them together.

I used my phone at 3 different angles to give shadows in different places.

I then turned the brightness down and the contrast up to bring out her face more.

Devils Night.

I pictured two devils side by side blowing smoke into the night. To achieve this I dressed them in red and black clothing and makeup.

I lit this with my phone as when shone straight onto faces it creates a pale look.

I the made them paler by turning up the brightness and the contrast.

Change.

I decided to do a theme of change. In this one an angle, (right) is convinced to turn into a devil (left) by another devil (center)

I lit it with my phone for a glowing look, creating an etheral feel.

I then edited the three pictures together and turn up the brightness and contrast to make the backgrounds the same colour.

Arise.

For my friends band, I took some pictures outside. it was night so I lit them with my phone and got this effect.

I lit the frontman to make him stand out, and placed him at the front, to sow that he is important.

In editing I turned the contrast and brightness up, and moved the curves until I had a dark sky and light faces.
